Rusch Community Park in Citrus Heights offers a large area for picnics or events. There is plenty of parking, bathrooms, shade trees, playground, and easy access. The annual Citrus Heights Community Marching Band Howl O Ween Parade and Harvest Festival is held there in October with hundreds of participants and attendees.

Rusch Park is a place for everyone. There are base/soft ball fields, several playgrounds , picnic areas, and restrooms throughout the park. The park is also dog friendly (just be sure to leash).

The swimming pool has a great swim team for 6 yrs and up to 18 years. They're called sunrise sharks. We often walk the paths, and they have very peaceful areas. It's beautiful in the evening. The parks are full of kids playing, and we love having our little play and socializing there. Be aware that there are areas with homeless/ the smell of drugs being smoked. They don't go around the children areas but just want full transparency in my review. Some restrooms are cleaner than others.

The park is very nice for recreational sports, family times or just going for a walk.the park has a community center, baseball diamonds, basket ball, and tennis courts. There are playgrounds for kids too. Lots of trees line the paths through to the park. There are two parking lots, with plenty of parking. The grounds are clean for an open outdoor space. There are BBQ pits and tables for a cook out.

We had a great morning walk around the park. Definitely added to our revolving park list.
